The Agfa (Imagesetter) Driver:

Use Agfa print drivers when designing a project in Microsoft Word or Publisher, and output using our offset presses.

Installing the driver:

Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and ME all include this driver in the system setup files. To install the driver follow these steps:

Step 1:

Click the Start button then choose Settings and then Printers as show.

Step 2:

Click the Add Printer icon.

Step 3:

Click the Next button until the following screen appears. Select Agfa as the manufacturer and Agfa SelectSet 7000 as the printer.

Step 4:

Click Next until the following screen appears. Select File:. Continue clicking Next until Finish appears. Click Finish to complete the installation.

Configuring the driver:

To use the Agfa driver you need to configure it correctly.

Step 1:

Click the Start button then choose Settings and then Printers as show.

Step 2:

Right click on the Agfa SelectSet icon and select Properties as shown:

Step 3:

Click the Fonts tab as shown below and check the Always use True Type fonts option as shown. Click OK to save this setup.

Using the driver:

You will not be able to print to your printer using this driver, but, you will be able to preview what your documents will look like, and generate a file that we will be able to use when outputting your print job.

Step 1:

Click the Start button then choose Settings and then Printers as show.

Step 2:

Right click on the Agfa SelectSet icon and select Set as Default as shown below.

Step 3:

Open your document in Word or Publisher and use the Preview function to see how the document will look when output. Make any changes needed to correct text flow or headers. Use the Print function to print the document to a file. This file, along with any necessary fonts, are what you send to Tri-State Litho.
